#1 Twin headlamp E-type

Post by Sarthe72 » Tue Dec 03, 2019 6:05 am

Back in 2010 I was sent this picture by a JDC member with a letter saying he had bought the car some years before and was told that the conversion had been done by Jaguar themselves to see if it would improve night driving. Frankly I don't believe it although I spent some time researching, but I thought I'd put up the photos here just in case anyone has any further knowledge.

I own that car! It is a bit ugly but looks better in the flesh. It is also one of only two done by Jaguar so it is also rare!

I’m not sure it improves the E Type’s sleek lines but yes a rare beast indeed. No offence intended.
Lovely colour BTW.

Cheers,
Pete

If you are asking about the black car, it was one of two made by the factory, this one was for the 6th Earl of Cawdor, the cousin of Lord Somebody who was connected to Jaguar Cars. Sir William gave it his blessing but thought it was shite!
