#1 Mystery Door Card

Post by chrisallen01 » Sun Feb 09, 2020 3:32 pm

Hi All
Image

Just opened up the package with my new door cards above which were supposed to be for a series 2 FHC and laid the new one over the old one to discover that the new ones are about 1" short along the back edge. So these bargain doors cards obtained from a seller at Stoneleigh (not one of the usuals) are now going to end up being more expensive as I will have to get a pair from a reputable supplier.

Is there any differences between the S2 OTS door card and the FHC card?

Part numbers are different -
BD33712 BD33713 for FHC
BD33708 BD33709 for OTS
Others will know the detail differences I am sure.

AHA, thanks Guys, so I have the door cards for an S2 OTS not a FHC. Having an E Type is a continuous learning journey, no matter how long you've had one you can still find differences between the models II was unaware of.

They look like 2+2 cards. If they are about 21" long on the top horizontal edge they are SWB. They look circa 28" i.e. 2+2

Thanks Peter, comparing the OTS image above which shows a tapered capping, my image below is my S2 FHC and it has a rectangular capping. Just awaiting delivery of the correct door cards!
