Does anyone have a picture of exactly how the front seat runner is attached to the floor on an S2?

As I wrote, I need a picture. Mine isn’t original so I need to see how it should look like.

Hi Peter,

With the runners attached to the seat frames, the mushrooms are fitted to the floor as pic 1 and then the notches as pic 2 in the front of the runners slot into them. The backs of the runners are then bolted to the floor.

Ahh, now I see how the sliders are fixed to the front knobs.
Thanks very much, exactly what I needed.

This probably not an original setup of seat runners, that's why I needed a picture.
The seat is original but the rest is not. So what is my best option, is theer any complete kit to buy or do I have to order everything separately?

Are they series 3 or 2+2 seats? The tilt mechanism doesn’t look like that on my car.

They definitely look like E-type seats, it’s just the lever for tilting the seat is different. It’s a rod with a moulded plastic end, not a formed plate. If they’re the wrong seats, it might explain why the runners aren’t the correct ones. I’ll take a photo later.

Tom, that lever is the same as on my cars

Peter, a far nicer solution is to get a pair of MX5 seats, chat to Angus he does a good set with much better runners than the E Type ones.

The seat adjuster changed at some point from the flat black lever as in Peters photo to the chrome as in Toms photo.....the seat runners look to me like S3 runners.....note the runner adjuster lever bar across the front of the seat connected to both runners........runners are available from suppliers or you might want to post in the wanted section....or adapt what you have....Steve
