#1 Looking for some history on this car please....RBL 4M

Post by edshmoo » Wed Jul 08, 2020 1:08 pm

Afternoon,

I'm taking on the sale of a car for a regular client of mine and trying to find some of the cars history/story and possibly trace any previous owners?

The car is a silver 1971 Series 3 V12 Coupe - Auto. Reg number was RBL 4M.

The car was exported to Guernsey some years ago, logically I'd have to think post July 2011 when it was last MOT'ed. The car is obviously not wearing that reg number now and the only pic I have of it with that fitted is a Shutterstock image, so I'd best not pop that up as somebody somewhere will want to charge me for using it!

So the pic attached is of the car with its Guernsey plate.

You're welcome to call me on 07970 464360 or email me at ed@shmooautomotive.co.uk

Look forward to hearing from anyone who has a memory of the car.

Best,

Ed

You can use the car number to search for any known information on XKEdata: http://www.xkedata.com/ Your car can be found at: http://www.xkedata.com/cars/detail/?car=1S51964

It is shown in the Jaguar Drivers Club Directory of Vehicles and Owners but there is no owner information recorded against it so whoever owned it around 2011 was a JDC member.

Hey Steve,

Yes, I'm great thanks. Moved onto a Jag, or do you still have the SL as well?

Seems like 5 min ago I sold you that, but a quick look at instagram tells me it was 5yrs!!!!!

Turns out the car was supplied by Sherwood Restorations 3000 miles back. Still don't know who owned it prior to that, but it's a start.
