Now that the body is off to paint, I am now onto the engine rebuild.
Looking for recommendations on part manufacturers for pistons, bearings and gaskets, valve train components etc.
Most of the ones I knew of when in the trade 35 years ago don’t seem to exist these days...
Thank you.

#2 Re: Engine parts recommendations
Mike,
I think Mahle should be available for pistons and (all) engine bearings except for the thrust washers.
SNG sells them, but they maybe others.

#3 Re: Engine parts recommendations
Buy the parts from someone who builds XK engines weekly, using the very same parts they will sell you, such as Rob Beere Racing in Coventry.
Beere's is a two-man-band where Rob builds the engines, and Carl manages the stores - they have everything in stock, or know where to get it.
I went to sniff them out, poke in the corners, ask uncomfortable questions, and came away convinced.
For 20 years I ran an identical operation (engine-building, tuning, and mail-order parts distribution for just one brand/type of engine) so I think I know what signs to look for.
Their web-site is crap.
I have no connection or interest whatsoever.
