#1 Present for hubby who owns Jaguar

Post by PhoebeBuffay » Wed Dec 02, 2020 11:10 am

Hello.

My husband who has recently turned 50 bought himself a red Jaguar E-Type Series 1. I added a little bit as it was his birthday gift and a fulfillment of a long, long, looooong dream. It is his baby. He went absolutely mad about the car. With Christmas incoming what can I get him? Cars are not in the range of my interests, I have my own hobbies but I would like to get him something to make him happy. What goes well with this car?

Has he got a car cover for it? Or maybe a nice leather tool bag (matching the interior trim)?

Car shampoo and wax to keep it nice and shiny? Inexpensive gift after the expense of buying the car

I'd settle for a Mini skirted, 60's style leggy brunette dolly bird! The ideal optional extra for an E-Type.

I had one that came with my first e type.
Actually still have her, we have gracefully matured together. I don’t know how I could manage without her after 40+ years

Thankful

If I were in his position I would appreciate receiving an original Jaguar key fob as a gift. They are rather pricey but he’ll think of you every time he reaches for his keys.

Look on this site for guidance on proper key fobs.

Good luck,
Alan

Inviting him to join this forum is probably the best gift you can make in relation with his present passion.

Presents for the hubby who has now got his dream....(he already has the girl of his dreams!).
1. Swisswax canuba car wax. More expensive than the best ladies body lotion, but can be applied with the same sensual motion to give the bodywork that blemish free shine. Prices range from £50 to £500 a tub. Get a clay bar and paint cleaner to go with it.
2. Does his car have a radio? Buy a period Motorola as fitted in period. A company called Tadpole here in the UK will provide one which has been converted to play the latest music technology. Retains the original look.
3. A red Series 1 E-type model is a must! Google will give you lots of examples. Spend more rather than less for a 1:18 scale.
4. Car cover.
5. Ket fob. There are some good repro original key fobs on line.
6. Contact SNG Barrett for some other ideas.....

My wife has been very generous and thoughtful with my Christmas presents and given me all the above over the years. Lucky boy, am I! If you want any specific details, get back to me.

If he is not savvy with a set of basic tools then perhaps an AA or RAC membership would go down well?.. or not? ☺️
