Engine installing S1 4.2p the rear and pu
#1 Engine installing S1 4.2p the rear and pu
Hi after seeing on this forum how to install an engine I found it quite easy even on my own .I jacked up the rear under the suspension drive assembly and put a small pallet under each wheel . then I raised the front just over three feet using the engine hoist then lowered it onto a large piece of timber on two axle stands under the forward jacking points. Then it was just a case of putting the engine and box on a low four wheel trolley and rolling it underneath. Then back to the hoist and carefully lowering the body over the engine . I am keeping the body slightly high so I can get underneath to attach the gearbox mount . As long as you take it slow it is quite easy. Engine back in after 24 years .

Yep, trying to catch me out eh. This car was stripped completely about 24 years ago (not by me) and also moved storage so quite a few bits gone astray. Bryan
