#1 E Type Fabs

Post by carlv12 » Wed Jan 14, 2015 10:09 am

Hello,

I bought a 5 speed gearbox from E Type Fabs. Now I cannot contact Uryk. I have tried several times to call him and I sent him emails, but he never answered. Does anyone of you know what happened? Thank you and best regards from sunny Valencia

Uryk is still at his workplace. For reasons only known to himself he's stopped answering the phone, or emails. He's stopped supplying his products to both the trade and the public without prior warning and numerous customers have been trying to contact him.

Hello Dave,

thank you for the feedback. But I just hope that Uryk has a reason for this behaviour, because it's not fair to do this without prior warning. What can be the real reason? I always thought that these things can occur when buying from a small single man company. It's always a big risk unfortunately. I am very sad and in fact disappointed and just want to believe that Uryk has problems that justify all that.... Please keep us informed

Regards from Valencia

Carlos

I do hope he is ok. His input to our interest is/was immense and anything I saw that was manufactured by him was to a superb standard. Lets hope he is having a month off answering e mails! I was interested in a set of his standard setting torsion bars and had not been able to get in touch my self.

I too hope he works through his issues. He was always very pleasant to me but he's a 'complex' character and you definitely can't read that particular book by his cover. High standards of workmanship are not the same as the skills to run a business. Fingers crossed for 'Uryk'.

Thats a real shame.
I am going to need a full set of frames for my 63 shortly and going from recommendation on here I had him pencilled in so to speak.

Any advice on alternatives please??

Thanks
Steve

Wait it out and hopefully Uryk will be back online. Hopefully he's just a bit pissed off at the moment (happens to us all from time to time).
You really don't want to be fitting anything else.

As I understand it ETF will focus on the manufacture & Hutsons on the customer facing bit.

Win win for everyone then, Uryk does what he is good at and Hutson do what they're good at, the way it should be.

Couldn't agree more so long as it doesn't mean a price hike 8)

Can't NOT result in a price hike. more mouths to feed. I'd guess 40%...

I think you will find that the new price reflects the quality of the product.....

Having had a chat with Andy at Hutson's on Tuesday following Neil's lead, I'm afraid to report a frame set price rise nearer 100% than 40.
