A few days ago my oil pressure sender packed up it was a number of years old though. After checking it was just the sender I checked the forum for advice, I was about to go for the wet gauge but thought I would see if the JEC gauge/sender was being supplied again.
Ken Jenkins is now supplying all the JEC spares & tools & said that the old gauge/sender kit is now replaced by a sender that they have made to the correct spec to work with the original gauges. Its made by Caerbont Automotive in the UK.
Any way bought one fitted it good oil pressure readings & all working well so far. though because I have a newly rebuilt engine with a new oil pump the gauge spends most of its time at 60 psi.
Many thanks for all the helpful posts.

Update on this. The sender I put in my S1 Coupe periodically drops to zero; presumably an electrical fault as it them pops back up to 45psi.
This one has done under 100 miles.
So zero percent reliability so far.

Tsk! Tsk! And you an anaesthetist? :-)
That's the built-in defib, guaranteed to get the pulse racing at random moments. Sadly, like nitroglycerin, tolerance gradually builds up and the cardiac effects wear off :-)
