Folks,
Should my, early '64, 3.8 have a filter gauze (7299) or the paper filter element in the sediment bowl? Bit confused after looking at the manual, parts book and Haddock!
Thanks

Hi
According to the parts book, it should have a gauze filter, part number 7299. However, the paper filters are supposed to be much more effective than the gauze ones.
So it's up to you. Originality vs improved filtering.
