I am trying to replace a cracked legend strip in the center instrument cluster. I started to remove the switch cluster to remove the strip. I thought that might allow better access to the strip. That doesn’t seem to make the strip removal easier. Do I need to remove the central gauge cluster or can I just break the strip into pieces and then fit the new one. I’m worried that I will be unable to slip the new strip into place and end up with a mess.
