Problem now solved. New O rings fitted at the base of the fuel bowls.

What exactly is "storage fuel"? When you say they are "leaking from the nuts underneath", are you referring to the gaskets between the carburettor body and the float bowl or are you referring to the round plug on the underside of the float bowl? The former has a waxy paper gasket and the latter has...

Leaking STROMBERG Fuel bowls

Hello fellow Series 3 Owners, I've just got my E-Type out of the garage after a 3 month storage. I've noticed that all 4 Carb fuel bowls are leaking fuel from underneath. I put storage fuel in the tank before storing it but baffled why now all 4 bowls are leaking from the nuts underneath. Has anyone...

Had this problem with my Series 3 too. Checked the Geometery and tracking and all was okay. In the end it was the age of the tyres as they were not gripping the road. Renewed all the tyres and floating stopped straightaway. As a rule of thumb our tyres should be changed under 10 years.
