Sump Removal
Hi. I have to remove the pistons from a series 2 engine and have two questions :-
1. Do i need to remove the reaction plate to lower the sump.
2.Can the pistons be removed and replaced from below or does the head have to be removed.

Gents, thank you for your comments. I am going with Christopher' theory. Yes the engine was laid up whilst the operation of removing and replacing the engine/gearbox since last November. Wiper Rack Repair
Thank you gentlemen for your comments. The car is a 2 +2 ,hence two blades. If I can support the spindle from inside the bulk head and as suggested peen the spindle with a punch then it may work. Thanks again, James.

Hi Lyons, like steve ,i have used the slightly longer followers without problem. i got mine from watjag but had to use thicker shims all round as the thickness of the follower is thinner than the standard.James
