ss bumpers

Just received a full set of Series 3 SS bumpers from Group Harrington. I was rather concerned when I found that it was being totally dealt with from Vietnam but can now give full praise to them as they are without doubt the best bumpers I have ever bought in over 40 years of classic ownership. Look ...

Been on the road a long time with some very nice cars. Still have quite a few of them to play with. Very glad that there is no satnav telling me where the road ends.

A bit of research suggests George Best had "a series of E-Type Jaguars" yet no pictures of him with one. The August 1997 issue of 'Classic & Sportscar' did run an article where he was re-united with one of them (presumably the one owned by Eagle): http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/q-max/csaugus...

Thank you for those. Some nice pics. but I was hoping that some contact could be made with the actual owners of the cars. Just thought it would be nice to see a large selection all in one place.

e-type cars once owned by the stars

Not only is the E type one of the most charismatic and in many peoples opinion the most beautiful car ever made it was also the status symbol of the stars during the 60s and early 70s. Can we compile a list of those still on the road, better still what a wonderful display it would make if an event c...

Wonderful film and many thanks for making it available. Just shows why Jaguar made e-types so available to him, what a star player. The car shown in this film is the earlier 1969 model and also shown in the still picture as publicity shot with girl friend and George standing beside it. There must ha...

George Best

Most men wish they had an E-TYPE and George Best was one of the fortunate men who could have the latest model. The half picture taken at night in the series 3 coupe with steel wheels and hub cap showing is I feel sure GGF 379J. It was one of the first of this model and probably used to promote the 2...

The one you mention is an earlier model.
It seems George Best changed cars regularly possibly at reduced cost as advertising for the mark owing to his high profile and the one from mid. 1971 GGF 379J still exists. Dark blue in reasonable running condition.
