Managed to 'pop' the main part of the dent out (its in the outer wing panel about 6" back from the headlight) which now leaves two small dents. One I think could be easily 'rubbed' out but the other has a small crease at the base. There is no paint damage though. I dropped it round to a local bodysh...

Bad Day......
Had a Bad Day Sunday...... Decided to tidy the garage up a bit, so after a couple of hours shifting things round and sorting stuff out I felt the need for a brew. Now during my 'tidying' I had moved my sons old snooker table and leant it against the wall whilst shifting some other stuff. Anyway, in ...

Gearbox Oil
Gents, very simple question I know but what grade/type of oil do you use for the gearbox of a series 1 4.2?
I know it's not EP 80/90 but is it the same as the engine or a specific monograde?
Thanks,
Ian

Gallery Shy??
Come on you lot, there must be more than David and I who are willing to be identified by our mug shots? You can't all be that ugly?

Hi Mark, so far I have been able to trace the fact that the car was sold new to a deep freeze company in Luton but the original name on the log book was of a chap called Brian Digby who also lived in Luton (the company owner or MD maybe?). I think he must have treated it well because he owned it for...

Just Picked my E-Type up!
As per the title, just collected my E from Alan Proctor this morning after having my sill ends repaired. I can honestly say from the photo's Alan took during repair and the quality of the finished job, he does some superb work. I'm very pleased with the result, and being no stranger to restoring bod...

Hi guys, yes Moe, that area was replaced when the car was restored 20 years ago, but it must be fairly unusual to find a british car with original sills after 44 years! Surprisingly, even after the restoration the car has never been wax injected in any of its cavities (something which I will correct...

Good News on my E-type
When I bought my 65 E type in April this year, it had the start of some corrosion just coming on the rear of the sills. Nothing major, but something that wanted looking at rather than leaving to get worse. I wanted the work done by someone with a good reputation and ended up booking it in with Alan ...

ooer.... Not one response....! I can't believe none of you 3.8 owners here in the UK are seriously uninterested in a 'perfect' number plate for your steeds..... Either that or you are all playing it VERY close to your chests and don't want to declare your interests and start a bidding war!!! I will ...
