Steve, in the valley, is very competent: http://www.stevesjag.com
There's always half a dozen e-type in the shop, few xk etc

Hello guys, it's been a while but I wanted to share last updates on the car. I was finally able to find all the bits for the SU conversion, the manifold took a while... I also went for the Mangoletsi kit, my linkage was pretty worn. The result: http://i1381.photobucket.com/albums/ah222/grosso/IMG_75...

You're welcome to the open day Mr M. Why don't you and David have a road trip. We could even organise an E-type Route 66. I know thats been done already but I haven't done it yet. Yes we need to, let's try to get more people on a week end. Or any other road trip I'm in! I'll always open up at weeke...

Hi, David. Let me know when you want to do this and I'll meet you there. Sure! I think Harry opens only on weekdays so it may be hard or I'll take a day off. Best would be the "open day" ...For LA people it's a so-so drive north, for Bay Area or Monterey people it's a decent drive south, especially...

The rear light bodies were painted blue the same as the car, so even without the side chromes they didn't lok too bad and your eye was not drawn to the gap. I thought of filling the gap but from side it would have made the lights look as if they were sticking out from the body. Just taking off the ...

Thank you Heuer, I contacted Mr Miller few weeks ago, nothing yet. But if you confirm they're the same size I could start with mine and wait for an ebay/craigslist item. So I removed the steel, and the side chrome finisher as well, looks already just a bit "lighter". But this leaves an empty space b...

Pete Crespin has converted the rear of his S2 to eliminate the splayed exhaust pipe's, the alloy panel, square number plate and improved the rear lights: http://i.imgur.com/d0i7xkz.jpg I just took time this week end to disassemble the rear lights to get a better idea, even if I don't have the lotus...
Looks like it's been done on Triumph: http://prirace.com/page/triumph-spitfire-keihin-carbur
Yes this Abarth system was in the list, like the name but not fan of the 4 pipes, and the price... well if I pay in dollars let's go directly for the two other listed. But I'm really curious about it sounds, searched a bit online, nothing. About the carbs, sure it will be a lot of burden: venturi si...
Hi guys, thank you! I'll update it soon, I finally got the right wheels last week. Long story short I bought a used set, appeared to be for XK instead of xke, this was not so easy to find out (different offset and spline adapter). Of course the car was driving really strange and I can't wait to try ...

Just to say that I love your car vipergts! The contrast between dirty/rusty and shiny mechanic is so cool. And I'm sure few people must be surprised when you show up on their side and then disappear in front :p You guys in UK have certainly a thing about patina. I'm always glad to see cars like that...
