Rain shield orientation
This question gets aired from time to time . . . I thought the correct/usual way was with the bulk of the panel facing to the centreline of the car, as in the 2nd pic below, copied from a period brochure. But, the 1st pic (the red car) is a screenshot I just took from JLR's website advertising their...

Re: Sphincter test.
I had a similar experience several years ago when on a tour in the Isle of Man. About half a mile from the hotel a jam sandwich was lying in wait at a hairpin bend and I was invited to pull over. Thankfully they were very understanding and gave me a blue light escort back to the hotel.

You’ve probably already discounted it but might the offending fan have been fitted on it’s spindle the wrong way round?

Welcome aboard. Your car looks like it's already had the tlc - it appears very respectable in the pic.

Nope, I’m Canterbury way Joe. Incidentally, what’s the lie of the land up in the big smoke regarding traffic calming measures, specifically speed bumps. I’m always weary of taking my car into town centres for fear of decoupling the exhaust from the car.

The E-type Forum. One of the few places where one can tell the world about one’s E-type collection without appearing crass, rude or bragging. Love it.

Kenlowe query
Hi Guru’s, the fan on my S3 is failing to come on when the Kenlowe tells it to. There’s power to the switch (the orange light is on) and all the fuses behind the dashboard are ok. Anyone got any pearls of wisdom or is this going to be a back to the mechanic job? https://i.postimg.cc/3NX7Pw0v/0-E33-F...
Re: New Owner
Glad to hear Mrs Kevin is involved with your E-type adventures. My good lady was totally on board when we bought our series 3, luckily for me she’s always had a soft spot for old cars, it can make all the difference to the enjoyment of a hobby.

Re: At long last
Seeing as you mention breakdowns Bob I thought I'd give you a taster. This was on Brighton seafront last year. Other notable breakdown locations were Wickes car park at Ramsgate, and on the ferry coming back from the Isle of Man. Happy days! Loving the pale blue on your series 3 by the way. https://...

I'm not sure why nobody's responded to you Kevin. Have you tried looking at the Federation of Historic British Vehicle Club's website? Not sure if there's any help to be had there - just thinking aloud really.
