Re: Has anyone fitted the Pilkington heated front screen?

I have one installed in my OTS, fitted while at Angus's workshops. It is excellent no distortion of view and great when the screen just steams up.

Re: Removable steering wheel

Hi Steve,

I would like to install one of these NR-G kits on my MK2 Jaguar, can you privately e-mail me the model number you purchased and the supplier. My MK2 has a Motorlita steering wheel I do not know if an adaptor will be needed also?

Like Dave,

I have a 3.31 in my 3.8 lightweight copy and it is brilliant at Goodwood, Snetterton and Mallory track days. Then for driving home the T5 0.8 5th gear is ideal for fast cruising on the motorways.

Hi Dave, Just a thought I had a similar problem with my own cars a couple of years ago and called Andy at Hutsons to order a replacement master cylinder. Andy suggested I install a spring at the front and sent me one to assist pushing the shuttle back. It worked a charm and no further problems. Migh...

Hi Pete,

Dave Butcher a respected ex Jaguar ex Forward Engineering race engine builder told me the later 3.8 blocks were stiffer due to extra webbing and he always tried to build his race engine using blocks from 1963. Whether this is true or not I cannot say?

I will know more when I get the box out and Jack Dain Transmissions of Norwich tear it down. On the T5 lubrication Pete mentioned, I initially filled the box with Dexron 2 ATF as recommended, but a chat to Ken Jenkins at Stoneleigh a couple of years ago, Ken recommended I replace the Dexron with a p...

Borg Warner T5

I had a Glebe overhauled T5 installed in my car approx. 4000 miles ago, just before reading of the woes David Jones experienced with his T5. This box also was very noisy in 5th gear like a whooshing noise but this never changed over the 4000 miles. Last Sunday on the trip home from Bicester I lost t...

Hi,

I have a pair of Cobra XL seats in my MK2 jaguar. Bought and delivered in vinyl but recovered in red leather to match the rest of the interior. They are quality period style seats perfect in the MK2 jaguar giving much better lateral support. :)

I replaced all my old Lucas starter motors for the High Torque simply because they are lighter (weight saver) take up less room and are easier to install and remove :)
