It seems that it is best to drop some oil down the plug hole a turn it over regularly just to keep the bores lubricated - but will having NO oil in the sump do any damage over time.

Just completed rebuild of 3.8 engine and as the shell could be a long way off, I had a thought in the back of my mind that it is better to fill the engine with oil to prevent the seals from drying out.

Am I correct and what is the wisdom out there.

Rebuilding rear susupension that came with Koni Shocks.

Car is positive earth 3.8 and as part of a Dynamator installation in order to cope with the extra output we are changing the existing ammeter to Voltmeter.

There are 2 heavy wires brown and brown/white so how are these now attached to new meter.

Bell housing is genuine Jaguar and friction plate came with the box as it has 13 splines.

Will attach Tremec mounting plate and give it all a trial run with E type standard diaphragm pressure plate and see what happens.

The rubbers that hold my glass washer bottle in place have perished with age, so the bottle rattles over every bump in the road.

Will Hylomar Blue be able to withstand the very high temperature on the cylinder head, bearing in mind these plugs need to be watertight.
