Re: Series 2 cooling system
OK, thanks. Just ordered a new one. I guess it's better to have the fans running constantly than not at all!

Re: Series 2 cooling system
Hi James yes they used to come on when the ignition came on but I've sorted that now. Thanks Mark Hi Mark Can I ask what you did to resolve this? Just taken mine out prior to a run and the fans came on immediately - never had the problem before. Presumably it's a faulty radiator switch but was just...

Yes, it's incredible how much improved a S2 is to a S1 ....AshM wrote: I never tire of how E Types produced so close to each other chronologically can be so different. Creates some good debate and laughs.

Re: Wow!!! that was quick
asthetically pleasing or not, I like that they decided to restore the centre light and keep it. It is part of the car's history and story. The new owner can then decide if he/she wants to keep that part of the history or move it on. Should be easy enough to remedy should they want to change that as...

What exactly is the purpose of these? I've got a set in a drawer waiting to be fitted when I've got the time but other than for the sake of originality I can't see they do an awful lot!

It's difficult to judge colours precisely as every computer will display it slightly differently. Anyway, here's my interior which "to me" looks accurate.

Re: Hot coolant going out from the radiator
I had this exact problem and it was the first cause mentioned by mgc above - the tube to the expansion tank was blocked (I'd just replaced my temp sender and guess I dislodged some crud which blocked the pipe). Replaced the pipe and all was fine.

Re: Running temperature?
Mine sits towards the right hand edge of the LH white section of the gauge and only goes into the normal if stuck in traffic before the fans switch on, then kept there until on the way again and goes back to as before. Don't know how many degress C or F that is. Mine's exactly the same as this. The...

I bought a Carcoon Veloce and its works very well. No issues with any part of it coming into contact with car. Will also dry the car out if you are forced to put car to bed wet. I've also had a Carcoon Veloce for a year or so and am very pleased with it. Easy to get in and out of and there's enough...
