S2 automatic transmission 3speed to 4 speed conversion
I was wondering if anyone tried to replace standard BW8 3 speed automatic transmission with 4 speed automatic?
I need to replace my transmission anyway (there was sand inside the gearbox that destroyed oil pump and other parts).
Any help appreciated.

what is a reasonable price for this etype?
Hi,
Would do you think is reasonable? I was told that the car is accident free.

Thanks for the input! There is 1.5 OTS on ebay now. No reserve and 8 days left.
What would you consider a resonable price for it:

S2 -> S1 conversion
Hi,
Although I recently bought S2 2+2, my ultimate dream is to have S1. With S1 prices skyrocketing I was thinking to hunt for S2 OTS or DHC and do convert to S1 by changing headlamps and rear light, bumpers etc.
How do you think it would affect future value of the car?

Steering rack
I need to replace a steering rack. Mine was PAS rack, but I am converting to non-PAS.
SNG has a steering rack in upgrades section:

Is it good alternative or should I look for a second hand unit and refurbish?

Re: stearing pump S2
Close to my hometown I have found a small company who is specialized on hydraulic servo pumps. My pump was overhault and now runs absolutely perfect. The costs are 200 EURO. If somebody needs help, please let me know via PN. Alfred My pump was gone when I bought the car, so unless I find a replacem...

With a 2+2 you have the option of fitting a 4 speed manual Overdrive box from either an XJ6 or, preferably, an S type. The latter unit has the same top cover as the E-type 'box so it fits in more easily. This is a lot cheaper than any of the 5 sp options and keeps everything Jaguar. Ian Ian did you...

it looks pretty much similar to mine (early 1970) However I think there should be a black hot water heater fitted to the inlet manifold, introduced in oct 1968 According to the Originality guide the cross-over pipe was introduced in October 1969 in USA and Canada cars, so mine doesn't have it yet a...

Hi Iradek The Facet fuel pump under the bonnet is definitely not original, is it the only pump or is it in series with the SU pump which should be in the boot behind the RHS panel. Mine is a 69 US spec OTS but which has been converted to three SUs Ian Yes, the fuel pump in the boot is missing, I am...

Thanks Heuer, I was not familiar with this site. I am also reading JCNA Series 2 E-Type Judges? Guide which is very helpful. The amount of changes Jaguar made only in 1969 is astonishing. For example I just found out that "on cars with second type air conditioning front fan was deleted and instead t...

What is not original under the bonnet in my 2+2 PS and AC?
Before I strip the car completely I want to establish what was changed by PO. I want this to be an original car, so your help will be appreciated. There were so many changes that I am lost. The car is US specs, Sept 1969 with Power steering and Air conditioning. Picture 1: http://i356.photobucket.co...
