Thank you,
I'll take your advice and go along those lines. The manifolds need to be re coated and one of the stud eyes is cracked, sounds like another search. Where would be the best place to source the exhaust from? I have the magoletsi air filter as my cars air cleaner assembly was missing.

Starter Motor replacemen
Hi
I have series 1 4.2 the starter motor has been playing up and needs replacing. I'm planning to replace with new hi torque one but how do you get the old one out? Can't seem to access to the bolts to remove it, can you do it with engine in place ?

Re: Car Security
Hi,
I've been pretty lazy with security, but going to invest in a tracker of some sorts. I have however recently fitted the latest Bluetooth 123 electronic distributor that has a immobiliser function which will now be used at every opportunity.

No Timing marks on dampener
Hi
I am trying to set the timing on my series 1 4.2 engine and there is no markings on my dampener. Is there any other way to check and/or set the timing?

Thank you. Registering it with DVLA was a real pain. Firstly after I sent all the documentation to them, they said they hadn't received it, only after I showed them they signed receipt did they then say they lost it all and I would have to get copies of all paperwork. I tried to get copies from the ...
