Re: rolling road figures

A few years back, when we were still in the ECU business and had our own rolling road, we did some back to back testing on a standard 4.2 Etype , mainly to see how a well mapped ignition system affected the torque Any chance you could share the ECU map you used, if it's not commercial in confidence...

Re: rolling road figures

Tom. No idea about the 123 I am afraid. It was fitted on the car when it arrived and our plan was always to remove it as soon as possible. And regarding the DCOEs, when we did our development, we found we had to end up changing more or less every calibrated part, and below is the setting we ended up...

Re: rolling road figures

Dan. That hardware kit is still available. The kit was originally destined to be a complete turnkey kit with ECU and loom, but we dropped that when we stopped ECU production about 3 years ago. As an aside, we had 2 x 123 units pack up when we had the car on the rolling road. I don't think our develo...

Re: 71 e-type in Houston Texas

The popping and low down driveability will almost certainly be down to jetting. Can you post the calibration you are running in your Webers and I will see if we can offer any pointers.

Geoff This has been considered, and it will be possible to space the disk and sensor to suit AC and PAS cars, although at this stage we have not seen any so have not had a chance to actually do this and work out exactly what is needed. If the demand justifies the extra development, we will perhaps l...

Marek. PRO5 will primarily be aimed at the "Premapped kit in a box" market, but it is an open system and the user (or preferably their chosen rolling road) will be able to make changes if required. If you wish to take a look at the software, please download a copy from here http://www.webcon.co.uk/D...

Guy. I think the confusion arose over the Jaguar World article that stated the price of the ECU was ?520 plus vat. This is still true, but somewhat misleading as of course you need a box load of parts to go with the ECU.. If only we got the chance to edit the copy before it was printed.... I should ...

Thanks Steve, Much appreciated, as at ?1,095 plus VAT is somewhat expensive. Regards, Guy Guy. Our new system will suit those who want a fully mapped, professionally engineered turnkey solution that is completely plug and play, and I guess that won't necessarily appeal to everyone. Once we have fin...

Our kits will hopefully be ready just into the new year. All the development work is done, and we are just now waiting for the custom parts to come in so we can build the kits. They will be 100% turnkey with specially designed trigger wheel, sensor mount, distributor plug, coil mount, bulkhead harne...

Unfortunately there are Weber kits and then there are Weber kits, and its the poor ones that give the product a bad name in some circles. Correctly set up 4 progression hole 45DCOE152G carbs on a decent manifold with a top quality linkage will work extremely well. Anything else almost certainly wont...
