Does anyone know if the 4 captive nuts for the bonnet latch, 2 below the voltage regulator and 2 by the chassis plate, were carried over on the vehicle bodies after the outside latch was dropped?

So far I have seen gold passivate, painted body colour and zinc, and even metric m8 wound into 5/16 nut plates.

Today I finally stripped the front suspension down and found that the only parts that were painted, and that is with black paint, were the torsion bars, everything else was cadmium plated.

The clutch was slipping on this car quite badly although the clutch plate was OK so I think it was a bad mismatch all round. I will fit the diaphragm cover plate and 9 1/2" clutch plate and check for clearance as you said.

Thank you for the the lead. I have the judging guide but it conveniently leaves out suspension parts.
I have opted to go with the either the dull chrome or zinc finish for all of the parts that were cadmium plated.
