Yes the pedal is the same moving or not and the pedal drops again almost immediately after the pedal is released.

I am able to slide the spring and cup over the piston in situ, I'd then fit the circlip and wouldn't need to remove master cylinder.

Thankyou, I've seen they're available online, but I'm unable to get good measurements of the piston in situ to determine which size I'll need without removing the piston and master cylinder entirely and causing a lot more work. I was hoping someone would stock or know the appropriate size.
