S1.5 Clutch Seals
Replacing the Clutch master cylinder seals on my 1968 S1.5 E type. I have a question regarding the two piston seals. The cup seal fits without problem. The sealing ring at the pushrod end of the piston will not fit into the cylinder without jamming the piston (have tried rubber grease without succes...

I have researched the the forum and unfortunately I cannot find the answer, so please don`t think this is laziness on my part. Just got to the end of an eight year restoration of my beautiful S1.5 OTS. I am left with a small label which states This vehicle complies with all applicable US federal saf...

Re: Zeus Brakes
You a correct Neal, I spoke to Coopercraft a few days ago they cofirmed that are not associated with Zeus. I intend to try another TüV Station next week, but I fear they will be eqaually intransigent as the first. Bottom line for me is that, I will have to shell out around £1000, to SNG, for a set o...

Re: Zeus Brakes
Thanks for that David. you are correct about the brake pipes, pure copper is " verboten" its considered to brittle. We have to use " kunifer" which is an alloy made from Copper , nickle and Iron. These are the brake pipes I used for the Resto.
It was the Calipers which were not acceptable.

After eight years restoration work, I took my 1968 S1.5 OTS to our local MOT station to be Tested / Assessed. I need to point out that I live in Germany, the test is known here as TÜV which equates roughly to the UK MOT. A big problem arose with the braking system.I have Zeus Caliper kits both front...
Re Chrome
Recently aquired a set of original wheel spinners for my 1968 S1,5 OTS. They need rechroming / refettling etc. All of the rechroming work I have had up date was done by Howells in Walsall. There work is excellent. Before I ask for a quote from them, I would like to get one or two alternatives. Has a...

Sub Frame mounting bushes
Question regarding a 1968 S1,5 OTS.
Could someone remind me about refitting the IRS sub frame bushes. The front ones go in easily and the rear ones are difficult or is it the other way round.???
Thanks

Steering Set up.
After nearly eight years restoration work on my 1968 S 1,5 OTS I am hopefully near to the point when the car can finally go back on the road. In the early days ofthe resto, the car was put onto a rotisserie, the inner and outer sills plus floor panels were replaced. Later the engine frames were also...

I need to change the speedometer dial on my ex USA S1,5 from MPH to Km /h. I have removed the instrument from the car and removed the glass from the instrument. The gauge face is secured to the instrument with two small screws. Question, how is the indicator pointer afixed to the instrument. I guess...

S1.5 Instrument Wiring
I have a question regarding the dashboard wiring for my 1968 S1.5 OTS. Starting at the panel light switch, I have Red/Blue to the panel edge lights ( working OK ). Then I have Red/White to the instruments (working OK ). Then the confusing bit for me is a Red/Brown connected to the Panel Resistance (...

S11 Cooling Fans
My 1968 S1,5 has the later S2 radiator cooling fans. Inside the fan motor, between the end plate and the amature, there should be a thrust washer. Does anyone know what this washer is made from???. Presumably they are either brass, copper or steel. or does it not matter Thanks Mike Münster Germany

Cooling Fans
Anyone know if the commutator brushes are still available for S2 cooling Fans.
I believe they have the Lucas Service part Nr. BR1 743171
Looked through E Bay and all the usual Jaguar parts supplies, without any success.
Thanks
