Hi, thanks for the photos. l have now outed the cable along the underside of the top engine frames. This way it avoids all sharp edges etc.

Starter motor cable route.
Hi, Series 1, 2+2. I have routed my starter motor cable from the battery area, across the lower picture frame and am now going up the engine frame diagonal towards the starter motor. When I get to the area of the engine mounting does the cable go over or under the engine mounting ? Both leave the ca...

Steering rack mounting spacers
Hi. I am in the process of mounting the steering rack. I have identified the short spacers that are fitted to the drivers side but have two spacers 1, 1/8 inches long 'left over'. Where should they be fitted?
Thanks

Radiator grill felt seal
Hi, there is a felt seal, BD19031, that is fixed to the top of the stone guard that sits in front of the radiator. Not surprisingly mine is missing. Does anyone know which way it fits? Parts list says self tappers. Does anyone have a photo? Is it wise to put a strip of felt here, seems to me like an...

Re: headlamp 'chrome trim fasteners
Thanks.
Mine were not standard rivets. They appeared to be a small rectangular plate, about 15mm x 6mm with a brass screw brazed into it. These then slid along the chrome trim to line up with the holes. Probably home made.
Thanks again

Headlight chrome trim, painted?
Hi, whilst looking through my Series 2 parts list I came across the following on page B17. The chrome surrounds, eyebrow etc and bead along the bonnet ( BD35668,70,94,69,71,95) are all as expected listed as having a chrome finish. However a little further down the page the same parts albeit with dif...

Headliner curtain glueing
H, when I fit the curtain around the roof do I glue it to the roof fully or just at the lower edge where it is covered by the cantrail? Or does the cantrail itself hold the curtain lower edge in place?

Re: 2+2 rear seat torsion bar.
Hi Carsten, thanks for the offer of photos. The only real query I still have is the diameter and thickness of the brass washers that fit between the mechanism and the seat. Are they just 'normal' washers or anything special?
