I have a 1970 series 2+2 auto 4.2 litre and I have a problem with the gearbox. It will change up through the gears and then back down BUT NOT INTO FIRST GEAR. However, I can gain first manually? Is this normal? I have been told by a friend that this is intentional to stop wheel spins? If it is not i...
