Re: Misfire/Backfire/Low Power Issues

Sorry for not reading your post earlier........I have the same issues and it is usually damp in the dizzy cap. After a little lay up the damp condensates in the cap and all hell breaks lose when you try to go anywhere. :wavegreatbritain: My cure is to remove the offender and dry the dizzy out with a...

The Jaguar V12 is recognised the world over as one of the greats.

And that is the appeal to me....I don't give a diddly squat what I get MPG wise. The fact you have a V12 and it is in such a beautiful shaped car is all
I require to smile when I am sat behind the wheel.

2K paint

For what its worth. Have the bits blasted/cleaned. 2k Epoxy primer which is available in a multitude of colours. Flat all primed items and 2k solid colour
on top of that.

My IRS as been done 3yr and a quick wipe over every month or so and it comes up like new. Just my experience..........

I am using P4000 s. Although there as been a lot said against them I
have found them to be OK for me and my S3.

Spirited driving is not my thing......... I prefer the tootling about driving
and have covered many a mile doing so.

I know I have a S3 but I fitted Gaz..the thinking been if you spend more money you get a better result......

Set them to half way was terrible. So set them to soft and that seemed to ride better. Wish I had just fitted Boge?????

Also check the oil leaking on to the exhaust balance pipe which could/will leak into any badly fitted tunnel.

Good advise from Marek. A good earth or two will add to the reliability and
performance at all times.

I can vouch for that...........

My view that came from a wise old head...If it looks right it is right. Old cars do not look good with tight gaps and the way the E type doors open should be observed before committing ones self to a tight gap.

Hi, I have both Facets mounted in the boot and tubed into a 3/8" supply line to the webers via two non return valves in the pump discharge lines to prevent back feed. In the engine bay I use a pressure regulator set at 2.5 psig from memory. Top planning....just when I thought I had thought of every...

Well for what it is worth I am 6' 2'' and I would not consider any other than a V12 S3. I have driven and owned a few variants and it is the V12 S3 OTS for me. Longer wider more pleasing from the rear........... Since when as MPG been a consideration for a 'toy'. I bought mine to rebuild and run. If...

I did come across this problem and used 2 small gas struts.

Not every ones cup of tea but neat and opens with a little more purpose

I can send you images if required

For a simple test just connect a jump lead to the engine and the earth side of the battery. It should then show up a bad earth from engine to body.... It does happen that they just drop the earth connection for no apparent reason. Usually the night before you set of for Le Mans............... oh I w...
