Hello All, I notice the S2 wheels have slightly less positive offset to the S1's.. Does anyone know what the effect would be handling wise of running wheels with the S2 (reduced) offset on a S1 car (if any)? The reason I ask is because I am planning to order a set of 5.5 inch wheels and 185 R15 tyre...

Hi Simon,
that is brilliant thanks very much!!
Basically the sales person at Baines was quoting me for JDS 14 & 15, which as it turns out is the B post seal... :( Not quite what I wanted obviously.

Will get onto them again.
Best regards,
I-Wen

Here's an update..
Basically Baines are saying they do not have seals for the A post. I've sent them a picture from the spare parts catalogue showing the part required - no luck there.
Has anone had better luck ordering from them?
Best regards,

Hello, Looking for a little help... Im trying to order the A post seals (LH & RH) for my 3.8 FHC from Baines, and they've replied saying they have parts numbered JDS 14 & 15 as BD 25789 & BD 25798 respectively. However according to the Jaguar E type parts manual, the RHS A post seal is BD 18559 and ...

Hi All, Can I revisit this post - would anyone be so kind as to post a picture or two of the pipe routes from the brake and clutch reservoirs to the master cylinders, and then the route down to the rear brakes? Specifically for a 3.8 62 RHD. The originality thread seems to only have LHD photos. Cliv...

Thanks Jonathan.. I'll give that a go. I take it you can ease back the top and bottom edges over the new mirror.
I've sent you a pm with my contact details.

I have a model 85 version and the plastic spring arm has snapped on one side. Has anyone managed to repair this before?
If it's not possible its a whole new assembly, unless some kind soul has a good condition one they would be prepared to sell... :)

Interior rear view mirror

Hi All,
Has anyone ever taken apart an early FHC rear view mirror? Mine has a mirror which is discoloring around the edges and a fixing stem which could do with re-chroming.
Any experiences appreciated, and are 7 years bad luck to be expected?
Thanks in advance,
I-Wen

Rear Jaguar Badge / Hatch prop

Hello All, my painter has done an excellent job for covering all the holes on the rear hatch of my FHC. Could someone kindly let me know the distance from the bottom of the rear Jaguar badge to the bottom edge of the hatch? Oh and also the distance of the rubber rest from the pivot bracket of the ha...

Castor and Camber angle setting

Hello all, I've read that it's easier and preferable to set the front castor and camber angles (during a restoration project) before too many things are refitted to the car. It's not necessary to have the car loaded while doing so. Would anyone have directions as to how to do this, or tell me where ...

Hello
My hubs (front and rear) are looking a little tired and I was wondering if they could be plated. Has anyone had any experience doing this?
Any advice most appreciated.

Hello all, Need a bit of help for my 3.8 rebuild. Would anyone by chance happen to have a picture of the inside of the brake pedal housing showing the arrangement of the brake return spring? Hi Adam, I've just contacted Bradite and they say they no longer do the 'Old Gold'. What was the name of the product (and colour code if necessary) you got from Frosts? Would anyone know of any alternative suppliers and what the names of products I could use? I'll ask at SNG in any case. Thanks for ...
