E-Type information

Hi

Does anybody within this forum own a S1 3.8 roadster with a chassis number of 850516.

I cannot seem to find anything on this car, but if it is still out there I have some early photographs that may be of interset to the current owner

Regards
Pete

Have fitted the door seals supplied by Hutsons and they have made a very slight improvement. I have spent hours on this including trying to adapt the Barratts supplied items. Both doors now shut fairly well with the Hutsons seals fitted, I am now going to try to modify these. I will let you know Reg...

This sounds like a drive shaft or prop shaft universal joint (U/J) to me purely because it's only there under load conditions, ask your mechanic to check them

Most M.O.T. testers will value your telling them where to safely jack the vehicle. the last thing they want is a damage claim.

Jon, I had the same car choice problem in 2005, and after much talking, looking and testing, opted for a series 1 1967 4.2 2+2, and have not looked back. I have spent the last couple of years bringing the car up to a good standard and it has all been a pleasure. After spending 30+years in the motor ...

Just got your book today. What an excellent read, thought I was the only one with poorly fitting doors after spending soo much time during the body resto making sure they fitted correctly.
currently trying to source softer door aperture seals

Well done
