Replacing Wire Rims - Re-using Tyres
I am planning on replacing my chrome rims with S/S this year and have budgeted for the new rims. The existing tyres are in good condition so i see no need to go to the expense of 4 new tyres as well. Is it ok to swap the tyres from the old rims to the new? Is there a safety reason not to do this? If...

I do find the quote on the SC Parts website:

slightly amusing... as it's clearly no where near the quality of an original hardtop.

Thanks for the 2 replies. This certainly looks like the item. It's clearly a 'budget' version of a hardtop, and certainly doesn't attach well enough to my car for me to want to use it. Someone with suitable fibreglass / DIY fabrication skills may be able to make different brackets to make it fit bet...
