Re: Advice with wire wheels
Tim, I think my question is possibly useless as I really wanted experience/advice from users rather than suppliers, I'll just go with my instinct

So recommendations please which to use and what make recommended. I found tape recommendations on US forums but can’t find these t...

Re: Luggage board pegs/pins BD10958
Andy thanks for the link some useful stuff there. I might end up repairing the pin by tapping it as I have removed the sheared thread from the captive nut and replaced it back on the board, so hopefully I can continue recover my luggage board. I had hoped someone may have had the same issue as mysel...

Luggage board pegs/pins BD10958
Does any one know if the aftermarket pegs for the luggage boards are the same threads as the originals as both mine have sheared off. I have managed to remove the old thread from the washer nuts using heat so I have replace these on the board but before I recover I wanted to know the threads of thes...

Re: Door cards
Well after much consideration I purchased a 8x4 sheet of 3mm HDF and have cut and finished the door cards, there are some extra marks on the right hand door card (for those eagle eyed  which look like holes) these are my marking out for the hole positions in the door itself. The remaining B po...

Re: Door cards
Yes series 2 I found the correct ones after James posted the same link https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173576786421 I think I will buy the 3mm HDF board and make my own as that is what this supplier is using, hopefully I will then be able to make the B post cards from it, if I can work out how to create ...

Re: Door cards
James so those ones on e bay are High density board HDF which from my research is hardboard but I have found this one which says its harder than MDF https://www.jastimber.co.uk/white-hdf-8x4-hardboard-sheet So I might give them a call and get a sheet as I also need to do the B pillar cards or I may ...

Door cards
I'm looking at my options for door cards but also suppliers of board so I can cut my own. I can get 3mm hardboard easily but I'm considering MDF or ply, I think I would prefer ply as I am concerned about the stability of MDF absorbing moisture. However I'm open to experience from others Obtaining 3m...

Re: Advice on Lead loading
Hi Simon
I have both Tig and Mig welders so yes I have pure Argon and 5% mix bottles, I thought it might be easier using Tig,rather than Mig, I do have a euro nozzle with ptfe liner.
thanks for all the advice

Re: Advice on Lead loading
Bill, the areas I'm taking about is A and B most area where I will weld the new sill to the wing areas. My concern and maybe I'm over worrying the issue is wiping down lead will leave a tinned surface on the old metal area, hence causing contamination with my weld. So I was looking for advice on thi...

Re: Advice on Lead loading

Is there a simple way of removing the lead...
