Alan I had the same problem, I just took the old unit apart with heat and re soldered it back together. If you do not have the facility to re solder then take it to your local radiator shop.

I know platers hate to replate an exhaust system because the carbon in the pipes and silencers contaminates the plating bath. If you can find a plater that will do it then the cost will be more than a new system. You do not state which car you have but I suggest that if the system is sound then leav...

Nylon Fuel Pipe
Michael.
I had a similar problem a few years ago and solved it by heating a small quantity of engine oil on a camping stove and immersing the end of the hose and it softened so the fitting went in easily. i think you need a much higher temperature than boiling water and oil will give you that.

I bought a tank from Norman Motors for my series 2 and the outside very well painted black, inside you can see the plating.
It looks to be a good product.

Rough Running
Garry. You say a new rotor arm has been fitted but i suggest you try another as Lucas copies are notorious for causing problems. The suspect ones are a tight fit on the dizzy shaft and once the engine gets to a certain temperature the shaft expands and a hairline crack opens up and the ht tracks to ...

Chris,
Your glove box lock wil probably be original and would be from the FS range and you are correct in the key number being stamped on the lock.

Drain Tubes.
Question o wise ones. In my S2 OTS the drain tubes end just above the bottom of the doors and water then presumable exits through the two drain slits in the bottom of the doors, Is this correct? The reason i ask is because when it rains the drain slits are often overcome and water builds up inside t...
