Re: Exhaust question/recommendations

Thanks. Will take a look.

Was completed during first lockdown of 2020, unfortunately not much time and only managed to use it the past couple of weeks. Will get some photos up over the weekend.

Re: Exhaust question/recommendations

Jonny, out of interest how far have you driven the car at motorway speeds? Many owners soon wish for less noise after a while if going for any distance. Just a thought to consider before you plan on a louder system. Geoff Hi Geoff, Drove it from Coventry to London a few weeks back. I'm used to quot...

Exhaust question/recommendations

Hi chaps, Long time. Happy New Year all. Finally a few years on managed to complete the restoration of my S1 3.8. After doing a nut and bolt and getting it to exactly how it left the factory I decided to fit a 5sp box. Finally I want to address the exhaust tone, whilst the original sounds nice, I wo...

Re: Open Day at e-Conic Cars (Moss Jaguar)

Hello Angus,

Could you kindly add my father and I to the list.

Unfortunately less the E-Type as it is currently undergoing restoration.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Is there no possibility to hold a smaller meet of say 10-15 people? doesn't have to be anything fancy, not even concerned with food/drink. Would rather see other E Types and talk to fellow owners/enthusiasts.

That's a real shame! I was looking forward to my first meet and looking over some details before my E goes in for restoration.

Re: 1:18 scale model

When I have some spare time I'll build the Revell model.

In the meantime, this arrived today, the 1:18 Autoart model. Very true to the '62 FHC and my spec :geek2:

Re: Photobucket

We know of the problem and the only solution is for the author to download the photos to their PC and then upload them via Postimage or Imgur. Please put links to posts with missing photos here and we will see if we can put them back. With 85,000 posts it is difficult to know what is missing. This ...

Re: 1:18 scale model

Many years ago I bought a Revell 1/8 plastic kit. Spent a few weekends with no2 son building it. They are available and not hideously expensive. eBay is your friend....... I went for the Autoart 1:18 model, fits in with the rest of my collection. I may consider the Revell 1:8 in the future. Any lar...

Re: 1:18 scale model

At £7250 one had better be able to drive it. Is it just the prospective clientele, or is there some dark secret reason for what seems a seriously absurd price? It's an Amalgam model. That's about the going rate for their models in that scale. A lot of money - but they are works of art.... You are r...

Hi Johhny, Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you had a very enjoyable drive home yesterday - hope you arrived safely! Whereabouts in London are you? Cheers. Hi Simon, Thank you. Yes arrived safely, was an interesting first drive for sure. Great power delivery and handling for a 55 year old vehicle!...

Re: 1:18 scale model

I have a red Series 1 coupe by Burago. It came in self assembly kit form. Quality is ok although detail is not great. I keep threatening to paint it Opalescent Dark Blue. Thanks, however I'm a stickler for details an seems the only thing that comes close is the Autoart model. Oh and the below 1:8 f...

Re: 1:18 scale model

I have the superb Autoart FHC (black) and OTS (silver) but they are out of production I believe. You can find them in red on eBay but not cheap, although they never were: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-18-jaguar-Etype-S1-Coupe-carmen-red-Autoart-in-box-1-18-SEE-INFO-/152661015519?hash=item238b4e3bdf:g...
