Hi Welcom to the forum...whats your name...please try to put in in the signature area.....best advice i could give you is take your time and just get out and look at as many cars as you can( just to gain experiance)...but dont get talked into buying them....unfortunatly as you know your buget is on ...

Hi John...definatly not 2.5 inches as far as im aware...that sounds way too much......when you set your ride heigh you need your wishbone bushes slightly loose....then set the car on the ground and ideally drive it a bit or bounce it a few times to settle the suspension...then with it fully weighted...

Hi John....if this is becaus you dont have the bonnet fitted then you could add a few bags of builders sand/ballast to the front. ....bonnet weighs apporx 60kg.......personally iv never measured ride height without bonnet...i doubt many have.......Steve...ps...if its to set the ride height then you ...

Hi Mike...early diffs used brackets to mount the calipers....im not sure of the change over date.....but if your calipers fit to the diff without them then that sounds of.....your either after the change over date or the diff is from a later car.....Steve

I havent heard of wheel bearing failures as an issue on E type/Jag forums....You should not have an issue with unbranded/Chinese bearings as yours were supplied and fitted by your Jaguar specialist......they should know to fit well known branded bearings as available from SNGB and many other supplie...

Just a quick update......the collars were manufactured incorrectly.......SNGB have withdrawn the faulty batch....SNGB actually supply Rob Beere who the original faulty collars were purchased from........Steve

You only have to google the tach number......it was used in S2.....RVI can have problem with 123.....you mentioned before .... viewtopic.php?f=3&t=17048&p=139819#p139819
