Yes it is ,just done it to replace the timing chain tensioner, you need to remove the head then the water pump then bottom pulleys , then you need to lock 2 nuts together and remove the studs that go through the sump then when you have removed the bolts it can be eased forward , there are 2 dowels t...

Hi what you have there is a late series 3 dizzy with the rubber wires , the red wire goes to the larger spade connector in the amplifier hope this helps

Rear door surround issue

Hi Putting my interior back in my 2+2 and have got to the rear door area, my issue is : around the door aperture there seems a gap between the newly carded areas and the door seal, on a series 1 restoration site i found there is a plastic infill that was fitted, but i cant seen to find this bit list...

firstly it a manual car, i think it barretts that quote the single pipe as a restriction, its not the pipe diameter which is the issue though its the exhaust pulses all meeting at too closer a point to the engine causing a back pressure wave, im going to buy the sc parts conversion pipes, your right...

interesting idea i was thinking of putting a spacer plate inbetween say an inch thick but drilled upwards to lower the manifold, how much lower do i need to make it so i get clearance is my issue ? i will keep an eye out for a second hand manifold but they are rather rare

thanks for the info top ! now thats sorted i have an admission i bought a 420g inlet manifold and carbs to make it 3 su`s instead of 2 ooops it wont fit without bonnet scoop ! double oops, my question is has anybody modified one to fit ? i have some ideas as how to cut and reweld it but is there an ...

i have 2 3 branch manifolds 2 down pipes into 1 then back into 2 middle pipes, i take it from the reply the s1 2+2 has a 2 pipe system, the sc parts book shows it having a single pipe system, is the extra length in the middle pipes ? or the front pipe

some of us are on a budget ! as iv made my own leather seat covers and remade all the trims, door cards, side panels and everything else for the trim im well capable of making a few carpets, the prices seem to around the ?300 mark i can make the same for ?100 no problem, i have the requisite walking...
