Re: series 2 Alternator woes

Hi Keith, It’s a real nuisance I know. Happened to me in France last year. Martin Robey also sell one on their site which has the new wiring diagram as a download. I got mine from Winspeed and used the Martin Robey diagram to do the re wire. Not a very difficult job even for someone with my lack of ...

Re: MGF MGTF seats

Many thanks for that and the photos. They certainly look as though they belong. As you say, the colour match is excellent.

MGF MGTF seats

There is a more plentiful supply of black leather seats that would not need recovering than MX5 Mk1 seats. Has anybody fitted these to their car. If so, how difficult is it? Any help/guidance appreciated. Many thanks.

Re: Mangoletsi throttle pedal assembly

SNGB have kindly sent me a copy of the instructions for a LHD installation. Big thank-you to them. All I’ve got to do now is fit it.

Re: Mangoletsi throttle pedal assembly

Many thanks both. I’ve read your thread several times David, indeed it was your comments as to how good this is that persuaded me to take the plunge! I like Angus’ idea of routing the cables. For obvious reasons, I’m very keen to get LHD instructions before I start. Hopefully someone will have a cop...

Re: Mangoletsi throttle pedal assembly

Help please.
I have bought a kit for my S2 LHD. Long story but I only have the instructions for a RHD conversion. Does anybody have a set of instructions for a LHD? Do you know whether I have to remove the steering wheel to remove the steering column from the original throttle body?
Many thanks

S2 Brake master cylinder reaction valve

Seeking guru with simple answer...I replaced my brake master cylinder using the new Lockheed 'made on the original tools'. I also had my servo rebuilt and have replaced all the vacuum hoses. The reaction valve now expels air with a hiss when you press the brake pedal with the engine running. The bra...

S2 IRS rebuild

So, I have taken the plunge...delayed by a bad back for a few weeks but yesterday removed the rear end and largely dismantled. I also bought a 3.07 diff off ebay. As a result I have to swap the inner fulcrum wishbone mounting brackets. These are shimmed. I cannot find in the manual how to re-shim th...

Re: S2 IRS rebuild

Many thanks for all your helpful replies one and all. I hope to remove the irs next weekend. I will see how that goes and how brave I’m feeling after that! I will update you afterwards.

I’ve read some of the threads about the mounting brackets. Any clues about where to find nos other than eBay?

Re: S2 IRS rebuild

This is where I start to get scared Andrew. Having read all the debate about bearing end float and other issues it all seemed a pretty complicated job for a keen diy mechanic with more enthusiasm than knowledge...saving even a £1k is well worth it, a 'free' set of decent wires starts entering my min...

S2 IRS rebuild

Hi, I am looking to have my IRS fully rebuilt and a 3.07 crown wheel and pinion fitted. I will be removing it myself. I see that Exeter engineering and Rushton engineering both offer similarly priced deals on ebay. Any views one way or the other on these guys. Alan Slawson estimate a little more and...
