Re: Calling Any Italian Owners

Use an Italian based mail forwarding business that provides you with an Italian address/mailbox. Do an internet search for Italian mailbox or Italian mail forwarding, there are several. Once you get the mail forwarding address, enter it as an alternative address in your Ebay profile. Then make the n...

Re: Chassis plate thoughts...

I would keep the original and make metal corners, similar to a photograph mount. This would slip over the missing area and provide support for the rivet. Take a piece of aluminum the desired width, make two bends to create a triangle, drill a hole to match your existing hole, slip over the rotted co...

Re: E-type parts

Check out Team CJ "Classic Jaguar" in Austin, Texas. On their website under performance parts, they state: "The Team CJ oil return line is manufactured with different sized (1/2 x 5/8 ID) ends to fit properly between the oil pan and oil filter housing assembly. Made of virtually indestructible, heat...

Re: Where does this go?

Here's a photo of the placard on a friend's car. He has an early 4.2 car which precedes this placard but I couldn't bring myself to tell him as he just had a new soft top installed. :?:

Another option for upgraded brakes is Fosseway Performance in the UK. I friend with a 64 FHC just installed their front brakes and he couldn't be happier. They also make numerous other upgrade items.

Re: Washer bottle rubber replacement

This might work - I have been using a wrap-around electrical heat shrink tubing that can be applied to a wire (or in this case the metal strap) while it is in place. The shrink-wrap has an adhesive edge which adheres to itself after application. In this instance, if you cut some pieces of rubber or ...

Re: Series 1 Horn stopped working

Thanks everyone for the support. It turns out it is my Brake Pressure Switch, or to be more specific the wire blade connectors on top of the switch. I disconnected the wires from the top of the switch and bridged them with some wire and success!! brake lights. So, I reconnected the wires and pressed...

Re: Series 1 Horn stopped (Fixed) / Now brake lights

Well I solved the issue. I went back out and checked the fuses and I had inserted a fuse on the wrong side of the holder, thus causing a short. All is well with the horn. But .... now the brake lights won't go on. The rear tail lights and turn signals work wonderfully. But when I press the brake ped...

Series 1 Horn stopped working

Hi everyone, Well the horns on my Series 1, 1965 OTS stopped working today. When I push the center horn button I can hear the horn relay click. When I insert a screwdriver into opening on the upper steering wheel shaft/assembly and ground it, I can hear the relay click. I removed the horn button ass...
