Re: Height Drop at Front Series 3 V12
Thanks for all the responses, yes the car was pushed up and down the drive a few times to settle it in over a couple of weeks as well as applying a downward pressure. I thought I was being smart and allowing for a little further settlement once the engine was fired !! Back to the drawing board and t...

Height Drop at Front Series 3 V12
Learned Collective, thoughts please on my series3 1971 full restoration nearing completion. 4 weeks ago I hired in the JD43 tool and managed after a few attempts to set my ride height to 6 3/4”. Having pushed up and down on the frame numerous times over the weeks to ensure the ride height returned, ...

Re: ARE THESE AVAILABLE ?
Hi Craig, many thanks for the offer, I have managed to resolve the issue. My account with SNG is set up for a series 3, I have discovered that this limits search capability and does not expand to other series parts, I now have a series 2 set within my account and has opened up a whole new world of p...

Re: ARE THESE AVAILABLE ?
Thanks Marek, I believe they are, I went along to the spares day recently in the hope to find one, there is a vast array of designs from this company. You have given me another search path to follow.

Re: ARE THESE AVAILABLE ?
Hi Craig, it is the key barrel which has one of its leg that fit into the housing that has snapped. SNG do not do a replacement for this model unfortunately.
Many thanks

ARE THESE AVAILABLE ?
I have discovered that my S3 door lock has a broken barrel, I have just re-chromed the handles and do not feel obliged to buy a new set of handles and locks just yet as I prefer originality.. SNG or MR do not stock for this vehicle does anyone know of any other sources that I may find a few spare ba...

Re: Torsion Bar Fitting
Yes it’s a S3.
From the comments I am on the right track, the engine and gearbox are out currently so there is limited down force to assist.
Many thanks

Torsion Bar Fitting
Afternoon all, there is a plethora on this subject which I have found invaluable but ! I am struggling to refit the shock absorber, having followed the manual, I know it me , it’s hot I’m flustered. Removing the setting gauge which is set at 19.25” centres, the shock does not reach the lower locatin...

Steering Bolt C31996
I am mid restoration of my series 3 and have somehow managed to misplace a steering arm bolt, the part number is C31996 and is no longer available, with no alternative that I can find. I have found one supplier at stupid money, so there is hope that there is a source. Does the knowledge community kn...

Seeking Centre Console
Can anyone assist me please. I am in need of a centre console for my series 3 manual, the one in the car was trashed and beyond recovery. I did not think I would have too much trouble in finding a replacement, it would appear to be a little trickier than I thought. The recent Jaguar spares day did n...

Door Seal Options
Can anyone offer any suggestions for replacement door seals please on my fhc. I am at the point of fitting and checking external fittings before the paint shop trip. I have tried a sample from SNG which doesn’t work on my car, at the very top of the door I can see the seal is not touching the outer ...

Steering Track Rod for Series 3
Hell All, I am on a slow restoration path of my series 3 fhc, thinking a later model would have more parts available I am discovering it is not always the case. One of my track rods has a slight bend to it from 50 years of use so I thought I would acquire a new pair, the usual suppliers of these hav...

Lower steering UJ removal
I have followed a few posts about removing the universal joint from the yokes and am not being too successful. I attempted to use the vice and a couple of wrench drivers one small enough to ensure slide through of the UJ and on the opposite end a larger diameter that sits around the yoke. I have man...
