Ok, I think that is the path I will explore. The 4.2 runs superbly and the starter carb works well so that leaves me with only the cost of the E manifold and some minor fettling. Will be interesting to see if the 10mm higher dashpots have enough clearance, I think I will just have to wait and see. Y...

Wow, learning quite a lot here! Has anyone tried keeping the mk10 carbs as is, complete with starting carb and just changing the manifold and adapting a cable throttle? From what I can see, the 2 10mm pipes are for water (to gauge temperature) - could they be fed from a tee piece at the back of the ...
