Hi Tony,
Thank you for suggestion.
I ended up buying from Vintage Tyres at Beaulieu.
The Michelin ones .
I saved a few quid and airfreight was quick.

Re: Inner Tubes
thank you Steve, I have checked Longstone prior. The freight charge seems a tad excessive for what would be a small'ish consignment, effectively doubling the price. In saying that though, I'm aware Michelin is the recommended go to tubes. I'll research for a while more. Then 'maybe' bite the bullet....

Inner Tubes
Looking for Aussie supplier of inner tubes for my
S3 factory wire wheels. The Michelin ones seem to be recommended?
I plan to use 205/70 R15 tyres, which I believe to be close to original size.
Any advice welcome.
thanks

Re: New Member S3 2+2

It's a long road for me.,,, many years so far as I don't work on it all the time. I removed it from the rotisserie late last year. I've fitted new floor p...

Re: Difficult bonnet (hood) alignment.
Hi Paul I note that you made up your own bonnet hinge brackets to give some more adjustment. I am slowly repairing my Series 3 bonnet and anticipate there may not be enough adjustment back to the bulkhead. Not sure at the moment however would like some info on the angle iron brackets you made. Maybe...

Re: Pre IRS installation
hi Paul, thanks for input. I keep looking at what i've done so far with the heat shield I'd purchased. I got some heat resistant foam - self adhesive style , cut, shaped and stuck that on ,, sandwiched between shield and body. Another forum member also has commented negatively about the aftermarket ...

Many thanks Craig,
I have some 1/8" thick rubber but I reckon that's too thick. Will head to the rubber shop tomorrow and get 1.5mm sheet.
Best regards,
Colin

Re: Torsion bar reaction bracket - Buffer
Hi Craig,
many thanks for sending the pics of the rubber fitted to the reaction bracket.
I guessing thickness is about same as bracket flange?
Kind regards,
Colin

Torsion bar reaction bracket - Buffer
hi, Buffer shown in parts list, front suspension,(C34966) that fits between the torsion bar reaction bracket and underside of floor, However SNG say no longer available. Is this something that is not really needed / required or obsolete? Or maybe something I can make? When I removed my reaction brac...

Re: Pre IRS installation
thank you for advice, particularly from Marek re safety under the IRS and c of g of it. I've checked the top shock bolt orientation, nuts to the outside. Pre IRS installation
Hello all series 3 people, I'm getting to the IRS installation stage of my S3 restoration project. I've got the replacement heat shield and some heat resistant foam to attach to it, and I'm confident I've worked out how to install the shield using the right angle brackets arrangement. (I did remove ...
