I was contemplating getting PL700 units with H4's but was wondering beam pattern and if they're any good at lighting the road. Quite fancy the original look but not at the expense of better lighting. Any thoughts

Bear in mind you cannot just swap the leads on the standard lighter socket as the case is earthed through the console. You could replace it with one of the plastic bodied ones though but the auxiliary socket in the glove box is the best solution, not least because as you change gear you will knock ...

Has anyone ever seen of found an adaptor that will go into a positive earth cigar lighter and allow a normal phone / sat nav connection. Just thought it was worth a shot before I add a 12v connection under my dash.

Could anyone advise on where in the pedal travel the clutch should bite. My S1 3.8 is fitted with a 4.2 / all synco box and currently bites in the last inch or so of pedal travel. The clutch only has 10000 miles on it.
