Hi the 4.2 Ser I E type has the timing marks on the crankshaft damper at the front of the engine. These should be aligned to the timing pointer which should be attached to the front of the sump. If the pointer is missing give me a shout as this is one of the many parts that i have had remanufactured...

Hi the difference between curly and flat hub wire wheels is the shape of the centre hub. The internal splines are obviously all the same but the outer shape is different. It is difficult to explain but the curly hub has an obvious "s" profile or shape to it, whereas the flat hub is as the name sugge...

Hi the only real succesfull way to set the correct tension on the torsion bars is with the official tool. It can be done by trial fitment of the bars and moving them spline by spline until they get the correct tension but this could take you hours. The tool was available from Jaguar about ten years ...

Hi, either type can be fitted without any modifications.
The electronic version is more reliable but is, naturally, more expensive.
Always worth ringing a few suppliers to get the best quote.
