Hi Chrystopher, thank you very much for your reply. The camshafts are two bolts type, and the car is from 1970, so I asume that the setting is 0,10 and 0,15 mm.

Thank you

E type S2 Valve clearance

Looking in the work shop manual of the series 1 &2 the only adjusting clearance for the valves that I found are ( in mm ) 0.10 mm inlet and 0.15 mm exaust. Are those measures correct for a 1970 4.2 S2. If yes, it means that it has the same Valve adjusting than a 3.8 s1 ? Thanks for your reply Mario

Talking about the oficial Jaguar E Type 50 book, there are two details to talk about. They mentioned in the illustrated guide chapter the E Type Series 1 1/2, and I have read many times that the 1 1/2 were never an oficially model, because oficially jumps from series 1 to Series 2. Is it now the 1/2...

The Eagle Speedtster, on display at Silverstone 50, don't touch my heart, it seems to me a fat replica car. Shiny doors top covers, fat central tunnel, lowered windscreen , slim chrome rings on head lamps, and other characteristic of it, are for me no more than a distortion of the real thing, inclus...

The blue E Type " DC 7 " seems to be a 3.8 litre, because it has the Jaguar badge in the tail gate as 3.8 litres does, later 4.2 has the 4.2 badge at the bottom in addition to the Jaguar badge.
