I spoke with Uryk this afternoon so am picking a set up in a couple of weeks from him as down his way on business.

Engine side frames
Afternoon all, who is the best place to get new engine frames from? My Series 1car has had a serious dent at some point and have had them repaired very badly so the originals need to go in the bin. Re: Casting block
I just had my 65 FHC blockl acid dipped to clean out the waterways, when i got it back there was 2 patches either side of the centre core plug that looks like where the casting sprues have been ground off. Looks to be in the same place as your engine.

Re: Mangoletsi throttle pedal assembly
A double cable is best as it gives an even pull, a single cable will always want to twist and you also have redundancy as well with 2 cables over 1 if 1 decides to break. Also the cost for 2 is not much more compared to 2.

Re: Mangoletsi throttle pedal assembly
I'll maybe look into making something as there is definitely a market for it and my mate has a CNC company with a nice new machine. Also has access to laser cutting as well.

Re: Merry Christmas, and exhaust question
I have removed the stock manifolds on my 1965 FHC so will be selling them if any use.

Liner fitting
Anyone fitted the Rob Beere liners? 3 of my originals are distorted about an inch below the lip so presume they have corroded at the back of the water jacket and distorted the bore somehow as there is a fair lip there. The new ones arrived yesterday and I wondered if anyone has any tips or pointers ...

Crank damper
Morning all, does anyone know of a supplier of the stock crank damper, C24366. SNG are out of stock with no date for them coming back in stock so struggling to find one. Richard Smith no longer does the recon ones either.

Re: Mangoletsi throttle pedal assembly
Many thanks David, I'll get one ordered up. I am also 6 foot 3 as well so will be able to lower the pedal a bit as it's a bit of a squeeze.

Mangoletsi throttle pedal assembly
I recently bought a dark green 1965 fixed head that's on the road as always wanted one. It's been with the previous owner for 34 years and been reasonably well looked after but still needs lots of little jobs sorted on it. The throttle linkage however is really quite tired and all the ball ends are ...

I'll PM you Richards mobile number as don't want to put it on the internet so he doesn't get deluged with spam. He's still going strong, I got some parts from him a couple of months ago.

Width of master cylinder bush
Morning all, does anyone know the width of the C25296 plastic bush that sits between the clutch and brake pedal in the housing on a Series 2 car? I am converting the car to a manual and want to turn down the existing long bush to size.

Re: rear wheels rubbing on inner arches
Hi Geoff, the wheels will be replaced with a shiny new set of MWS wheels and the correct 185 tyres. I had a browse of the forum earlier and see the 185 original size is the one to go for.

rear wheels rubbing on inner arches
My IRS was fully rebuilt and fitted to the car before i bought it. The 2 rear wheels are fouling the inner arches quite badly when fitted. There are 205/70s fitted to the car at present. Any basic things to check on the IRS before I haul it out for a look and check?
Thanks, Alasdair
