Its just that an article on http://www.imcdb.org seems to dispute this?
They seem to doubt the cars provenance which considering its fame seems unbelievable.

I think everyone knows 9600 HP started life as a LHD, when did it change to RHD, before Mr Porter found it, or after?

9th November 1967

Hi Jon, just an extra bit of trivia you may be interested in, on 9th November 1967 (your cars DOB) there were 15 cars built, one of which was Dark Blue with Red trim and Blue top, delivered to owner in Fallsburg, NY.

Hi, I am in the process of restoring a 1968 OTS. The car is Dark Blue. The previous interior was black, but I have to replace the complete interior and am not sure what color to choose. The most important is to get a nice combination, but if the combination also were a combination delivered in 1968...

Hi Vince, your car was built on 16th November 1962, Silver Blue paint with Grey trim.
Fixed Head Coupe, 80 HOH is correct, delivered to 1st owner in Birmingham by PJ Evans dealership.

Hi Matt, your car was built on 17th September 1969, dispatched to Henly?s, London (dealers) on 1st October 1969. Cream with Black trim. Original owner, records are sketchy but looks like, Hartnell Estates Ltd, Copperfield, Station Rd, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire. Original reg CEV 50 H. Hope this help...
