Re: Sherwood green on the E type
Absolutely beautiful car!
Thanks for posting.
I had already given up on that color, but I am not sure now, seeing this, if I should stick to the gunmetal or change back.
This color with a tobacco or similar interior can be a game changer.

Re: Sherwood green on the E type
They just replied me that they are unable to provide the exact paint code on such a limited edition.
A pity.

Re: Sherwood green on the E type
I received today an email from Jaguar classic, with some paint codes as per the below. However, is still unclear to me if the codes relate to those of the picture in the 60 anniversary.
Colour Sherwood Green
Year Range 1957-68
Old RM # JA028
New RM # 7417
Glasurit # JAG-605

Re: Sherwood green on the E type
I contacted Jaguar Land River Classic Works. They asked me to contact Morelli, a company that supplies most of the paint shops in UK including theirs. Probably is known to some of you. At Morelli, they tell me they can help me, but they require a colour code from me as there are around 7 variants of...

Sherwood green on the E type
Hi all, I saw few weeks ago the F Type heritage 60 Edition on this beautiful Sherwood green. Color looks pretty good imo, and quite different from the classic one. Anybody knows how does it look in real life? Same as in the picture? I am about to paint my S1 in gunmetal and am seriously thinking on ...

Best type of exterior mirrors
Hi,
Is there any better type of exterior mirrors to fit in a S1 in terms of visibility?
Is it better a “bullet” type on the bonnet over those clip ones on the windows?
Thanks a lot

Car documentation when Buying in US
Hi Can anybody please tell me what is the documentation that a US car needs to have when you buy in order to import in Europe? I am not familiar with the topic, and I have seen a document called Certificate of Title for a Vehicle, but I ignore if this suffices or any other document is mandatory. In ...

Is Opalescent dark grey a S1 color?
Hi
Is Opalescent dark grey a S1 color?
I have not been able to find it in xkedata or other sites, but this is according to the car dealer the name of the color I like.
Could this be another name for the gunmetal?
Thanks,

Safety belts
Hi I want to install safety belts in a S1 fhc. I assume there are belts with two or three “anchor points” (I ignore the proper english term for this). Has anybody any view (installation, fitting, looking, etc) on two versus three points, besides that a three points is probably much safer in case of ...

Re: About to sign for my first S1 FHC
Thanks for all wise comments / advises. Based on them, it is clear I need the car to be inspected by an independent classic car dealer with a mechanic. Seller still keeps the original bonnet which goes with the car. I think it is worth to do so, rather than taking a final conclusion based on a coupl...

Re: About to sign for my first S1 FHC
Thanks to both of you for your advices. Yes, I have had somebody knowledgeable looking into the car. This person, who took the picture told me door was not properly closed, but was presenting no issues . Regarding the bonnet, apparently this was replaced by a fiber one to improve handling. But here ...

About to sign for my first S1 FHC
Hi all Despite I am a member of the forum only for few weeks, I fall in love long time ago with these cars. I am about to pull the trigger and sign for an S1 from Dec 1964. I will have tons of questions, as I know little about them, and also because mechanically speaking, I am unfortunatly very gree...
