I have read the paint code posts and can see there is a code for Sherwood Green. I just wondered if there is a RAL equivalent? Wire wheel painter asked for a RAL code for powder coating.

Recommendations pls - BW12 Auto Box Rebuild
Hello all, I’m looking for recommendations for an automatic trans specialist who will refurbish my E Type’s BW12 at a reasonable price. G Whitehouse quoted £2,750 + vat which just seems like a lot. I was anticipating around £1,500. There is one that advertises in JEC magazine and on eBay that quotes...

Thanks for the advice Bob. I think the Radtec is the way to go for me.

Hagerty Insurance - New rules, Not What it Was.
I have been with Hagerty for around 15 years with several classics, including the E Type, on the policy. I paid around £470 last year for the E, a TR4a, a MK II 3.8 and an X300. I sold the Mk II (value 35k) and the TR4a (30k value) and bought a 1948 Allard L Type (value around 35k), so now one less ...
Re: New Tyres
I have Blockley radials on my S3 and I’m happy with them. Cost me around £800 ish for 4 a couple years ago.

Ally rad and fans, Radtec, NAR, other?
Am taking the E Type to Le Mans classic this year and whilst I don’t overheat here, I haven’t used the car recently on a hot day, the likes of which we had last summer. Don’t want to be in a traffic jam on a scorcher watching the needle rise and rise. It may be fine but…. Therefore, anyone fitted an...

Re: Passenger Door Mirror - Convex or Flat?? S3 Roadster
I've got the Fosseway clip on mirror; you do have to do bit of modifying to get it to clip on securely (at least you did on my car!) Had to choose flat or convex with Fosseway - I went convex and I think the right decision. Fosseway recommended convex to me. Better field of view. Thanks Malcolm, I ...

Passenger Door Mirror - Convex or Flat?? S3 Roadster
I want a passenger door mirror for driving on the continent and am about to order Barratt's LH swan neck type. The only question is flat or convex? Anyone done this and know which is best? I fitted one to my TR4A about 15 years ago and it was next to useless (and am thinking that was a flat one but ...

Is that Giallo Fly? Nice colour, which seemed to be at its most popular in the 1970's (although it looks nice on a 275 GTB also).jackson7477 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 7:45 amI love the yellow color in cars. Re: Mechanic Recommendation near Cheshire, Manchester, Lancs?
Sorry, I've just seen somebody else's post of November asking the same question as me and can see recommendations for Bob Bate in Birkenhead, Butlins in Swadlincote and Ken verity in Rotherham. Does anybody who has an E Type in North Cheshire or Manchester use anyone closer to home? If not I'll get ...

Mechanic Recommendation near Cheshire, Manchester, Lancs?
Hello all,
Is anyone able to recommend a garage / mechanic in or near to my area (I'm near Stockport so Cheshire, Manchester, Lancs) who has experience with our cars and who could help me fix/maintain my series 3?

Hello All - New-ish Member
I think I joined the forum a while ago and have gleaned some invaluable nuggets of information from forum posts, so thank you all. I was about to ask for mechanic recommendations and realised I haven't posted before so here we are. I'll try and attach a picture of my car. Having looked for one on my...
