Transmission cover trim
I have a 1962 FHC which has the transmission cover in leather trim with a centre armrest at the rear. It’s been suggested to me that the correct trim finish should in fact be aluminium; can anyone shed any light on this for me please.
Many thanks

Re: Speedo cable
Can’t determine the length of my LHD cable as it’s fitted to the car but is there any reason why it won’t work; as mentioned the cable run seems fine but will its length impact on the accuracy of the speedo operation.

Re: Speedo cable
Just to check, do you mean the LHD cable is 1foot too long.

Speedo cable
I’m nearing completion of the conversion of my series 1 3.8 FHC; brakes & clutch all bled, wiring completed etc. and I am about to install the dash panels today, fingers crossed,, I have a new RHD speedo cable which formed part of the kit from Hutsons but have noticed that when (out of curiosity) I ...

Wiring route for starter cable
I've seen various posts relating to the wiring route for the starter cable. My car was previously LHD and is now being converted to RHD. the cable previously ran towards the front of the car to what I believe is called the picture frame, along the bottom of this and then up and back to the starter m...

Wiring route for washer bottle
Apologies if I have missed an earlier post covering this but I couldn't see anything when I searched earlier. I am nearing completion of converting my 62 FHC to RHD and have located the washer bottle in its new position but I'm unsure where the wiring is meant to pass through the bulkhead. I was goi...

Re: Bulkhead fitting
Thanks for the reply Tim, I did wonder if it was wiper related but couldn't make it out in the manual. I'm in the process of converting to RHD anyway so I'm yet to address the whole wiper issue although I believe I can adjust the existing wiper - at least that's what my auto electrician told me!? Th...

Bulkhead fitting
Hi,
I've been trying to identify a fitting that's on my 62 FHC, it has a knurled edge and operates something but I'm not sure what. The photo may not be clear but It's located below the heater control valve
Many thanks

Re: Unknown Parts
The throttle pedal as purchased was as per the diagram which clearly details the parts in question, so many thanks for this, Clearly no longer needed as the right hand pedal assembly is completely different. The cut out that I refer to is in the left hand footwell carpet and was necessary to fit rou...

Unknown Parts
Good afternoon all, I am new to the world of E Type ownership having recently acquired a BRG 1962 Series 1 FHC in left hand drive form. I am in the process of a conversion to right hand drive using a kit of parts purchased from Hutsons. All seems to be going pretty well so far but unfortunately I ha...
